July Random Rules
Finished Trollope’s The Way We Live Now and had to listen to music, so here’s the first 10 that Shuffle brought me:
- Follow Me Home – Dire Straits – Communique
- Jack Frost And The Hooded Crow – Jethro Tull – 20 Years Of Jethro Tull [Disc 1]
- (Listen To Me) The Flower People – Spinal Tap – This Is Spinal Tap
- Suture – Model Engine – The Lean Years Tradition
- Diamonds to Dust – The Waiting – Wonderfully Made
- All Along The Watchtower – Jimi Hendrix – The Ultimate Experience
- How Deep Is The Ocean? – Coleman Hawkins – Classic Tenors
- The Winner (High Card) – Randy Stonehill – Welcome To Paradise
- Southbound – The Allman Brothers Band – The Allman Brothers-A Decade Of Hits 1969 – 1979
- The Sheep & The Goats – Keith Green – The Ministry Years Vol 2, ’80-’82 – Keith Green
What strikes me, aside from the semi-eclectic selection, is the number of collections the songs are drawn from. Fully half the songs are from an anthology of some kind rather than a regular studio release (and I’m not counting Spinal Tap among these – it’s more of a soundtrack … though I also have Break Like The Wind, their regular studio release).
