Don’t Turn Around, Oh Oh Oh!
The last bit from Proverbs chapter 4 includes verses 25-27 from the NET Bible
Let your eyes look directly in front of you
and let your gaze look straight before you.
Make the path for your feet level,
so that all your ways may be established.
Do not turn to the right or to the left;
turn yourself away from evil.
Okay, that’s brief enough. Ask yourself these questions, and then you can look at my responses after the jump.
- What happened in the text?
- What do I learn about God?
- What should I do about it?
- What happened in the text?
Live straight. - What do I learn about God?
He makes a straight path an option. - What should I do about it?
I’m not sure how I’m looking around, or turning my body or head. I think I’m walking the way God wants me to, and I’m not sure how presumptuous or out-of-touch it is for me to think that.
